12s!

I don't know if you heard, but a certain team is headed to the Super Bowl in a few weeks...

So things are exciting.  Or at least, I imagine they were.  I wasn't there but the news told me that it was a good time.  I'm sure keeping 23 students focused for the next 2 weeks (let alone if we should actually win AGAIN) will be a real treat.  Pray for me.  Just kidding.  I mean, do pray for me, but maybe not in reference to the Seahawks.

If you watched the game, then you got a feeling for what Seattle weather is like every day.  Sometimes it pours for a few minutes.  Then it's sunny.  Then cloudy and sprinkling for the rest of the day.  I really don't mind it at all.

Otherwise I've been going about my business as usual.  Made a little trip to West Seattle last weekend (no pics, sorry!) and had some lunch at the Swinery and it was de-lic-ious.  Wow.  It's a butcher shop that serves sandwiches as well and boy was it tasty.  Then I walked around in the drizzle (rain is a little strong...) and checked out some antique stores (always on the search for some vintage Nancy Drews!) and found my new favorite furniture store, which had me kind of contemplating actual bedroom furniture (no dice, I'm too poor). I grabbed a business card anyway.  You never know.  Then stopped and had some yummy carrot cake and an afternoon mocha at Bakery Nouveau before heading home.

I've been slowly collecting all the great Seattle must-sees, weekend getaways, and places to visit in Washington.  The list is not short.  There is so much to explore out here.  I may become an outdoor cat after all.*

*given the cutest outdoor gear and loads of bug spray, because I don't care what anyone says, there are bugs here.
